Emma Woodthorpe

Emma brings more than 25 years of global experience leading people strategy, organizational transformation and culture change across public, private equity–backed and multinational companies. As Chief People Officer, she leads Atlas’ global people strategies focusing on strengthening leadership capability, aligning talent to business priorities, and building scalable operating models to support growth. She oversees talent acquisition, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, total rewards, employee engagement and relations, HR operations and people technology.

Prior to joining Atlas, Emma was Chief People Officer at Brooks Automation, a global semiconductor automation company, where she partnered with the CEO and Board to strengthen executive leadership, clarify governance, and implement scalable people processes to support growth. She led the development of a multi-year people strategy, introduced enterprise-wide performance and OKR processes, and modernized the HR operating model to improve alignment, accountability,  and efficiency.

Emma has also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Mercury Systems, where she helped scale the company through 14 acquisitions and supported growth from approximately $200 million to more than $1 billion in revenue. Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at Xylem and DuPont, gaining extensive international experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Manchester Metropolitan University.
