Atlas Air Worldwide will be taking a seat at one of the aviation industry’s most influential tables. Michael Steen has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), joining an elite group of aviation industry leaders who help shape global aviation policy.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA), representing some 330 airlines accounting for over 80% of global air traffic, is the leading trade association for the world’s airlines, with a focus on helping to formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues. IATA is governed by a General Meeting and an executive committee, known as the Board of Governors.
